August 2017 will mark the 10th anniversary of the Walfas domain, the original blog created by KirbyM so if I haven't been creating much walfas content, it's mostly because I was brainstorming ideas for a 10 year anniversary project.
I didn't come up with not one...BUT TWO ANNIVERSARY PROJECTS AND THIS DOCUMENTARY IS ONE OF THEM!!
What is the use of a documentary for Walfas?
For a good retrospective look of how this domain about someone's blog ended up becoming a pillar in the western Touhou community. It's quite a timeline to look back on since I've been there for like most of that 10 year span, which is connected to how long I've been a Touhou fan as well. HOORAY
The Meat and Starch of this Documentary:
A retrospect of the Walfas domain itself
The evolution of the flash animation and shorts
The evolution of using create.swf as a medium for storytelling - both original and Touhou
The knitty and gritty about everything about the community itself [a revise of the history of the walfas community video]
HOWEVER I DO REQUIRE ASSISTANCE
Researching older archives is time consuming and basically what I would like is to see if there can be any old material that anyone can
dig up to use for the documentary.
In addition to wanting some assistance in researching old walfas material, what documentary is complete without interviews?
That's right, based on the content that will be covered, I will actually personally contact people throughout the whole community for interview and insights of the actual walfas medium itself and just a general overview of their content and stuff.
So the release date of this documentary:
FALL 2017
I'm working on the documentary outline itself and I'd love to get suggestions of things to cover as well.
OH AND I WOULD LOVE THAT THERE CAN BE GOOD MUSIC SUGGESTIONS THAT CAN MAKE THE DOCUMENTARY MORE TOUHOU-Y
